Quite tempting packages they offer. Me and my wife Samanta, looking for our first trip together just after marriage They offered lot of holiday homes for the honeymoon in different beautiful places like Italy, Switzerland, Prague and lot more. Holidays is sometimes tiresome to plan. THEY MADE IT LIKE PIECE OF CAKE. so we just went for it and it was great experience. their holiday home in Spain was like heaven. we fall in love with out live in, forget the spain. great services, extra beneefits we got as couple, breakfast and champagne was complimentary.
We reserved and paid for a rental home in Finland for March 15 - 22, 2020. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we cancelled our stay on March 12, 2020, and notified Interhome and the property owner, asking if we would receive any refund. We were told that, since Finland had no travel restrictions at the time, we were not eligible for any refund. several days later, Finland colsed its borders to travel, and Interhome started cancelling reservations beginning on March 17, 2020 free and without penalty.
I again contacted them and asked if we would receive a prorated refund for our cancelled stay for the days covered by the travel ban. They refused, saying that I never cancelled the booking, even though I showed them the long e-mail chain starting on March 12, 2020. I think it is terrible for a company to behave in such an unreasonable manner during an unprecedented crisis. Every other company we dealt with about our cancelled holiday was honorable, and refunded any money we had paid, less very reasonable processing fees.
We will never use Interhome again for our lodging needs, and will not recommend them, either....
The world has a pandemic and this company will keep your money, ask you to cancel, put it back for rent and has zero compassion for the unfortunate situation. They also have a built in insurance policy that is useless.To make matters worse, they have a coronvirus update on their website with a long list of countries that have travel restrictions/advisories to which they are giving a refunds to. There is a huge list but they excluded USA from this list! Don't book with them if you want run a risk of losing a lot of money even if the ENTIRE WORLD is under a state of emergency.
